The exhibition invites viewers to the surreal hall of a fake Messiah / Mahdi who grew up in the new world. The hall adorned with a kitsch aesthetic understanding of the Middle East in a sense portrays also fictional leader. While the hall exaggerates the degree of cultural imperialism, it reiterates the confused relationship of the east with the west. Middle East Dreamin’ explores the deformed aspects of visual and auditory pleasures and takes the viewer on a journey into the inner world of a character that mirrors the distorted world/community order.
